How To Get Involved

Currently, the Network is looking for individuals who are either cardiac or stroke patients, or who are, or have been carers, to participate in our patient and public involvement (PPI) work.  We will provide support and encouragement to ensure that there is broad representation of local patients from all groups. 

 We want to include hard to reach groups e.g. elderly people and people from minority ethnic groups, or who have disabilities, including communication problems.  We report regularly to the Network Board detailing patient views and ideas and we also open up the Network to the public about twice a year with our Patient and Professional Partnership Group; we call this the 'Triple PG'.

Upcoming Opportunities

Following national changes to guidance on vascular surgery, the GMCCSN are holding a consultation with the public and members of the medical community to discuss the new guidance.
